Tampa (September 22, 2022) The University of South Florida is starting its way for the second time in the fall to attend the Lady Paladin Invitational competition hosted by Furman University on September 23-25.

The Bulls opened the 2022-23 season last week by finishing sixth in the 14-team Green Wave Classic. South Florida was one of seven teams in that tournament to shoot for a par as a team (857).

Melanie Green And the Leonor Medeiros South Florida led with scores of three below 213 to tie for 19th place apart. Medeiros scored a career low of 67 in the first round and pulled off her career best with a total of 54 holes.

The competition

The Lady Paladin Invitational will take place at Furman Golf Club in Greenville, and the SC 18-hole teams will play over three days. Playtimes start at 9am from slots #1 and #10 on Fridays and Saturdays with a shotgun at 9am starting on Sundays.

“The team created some momentum with the first event and getting ready for the weekend,” Brennan said. “We know this golf course and feel confident where we can benefit from and where to go out with the pair. They believe deeply in each other and are ready to fight alongside each other.”


South Florida will compete in the 18-team field with: Foreman, Augusta, Coastal Carolina, Daytona State, Florida Atlantic, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgia State, James Madison, Memphis, Minnesota, North Florida, Old Dominion, Richmond, Stetson, Tulane, UNCW and Western Kentucky.
