The following crime report is for the crimes reported in Chestnut Hill and Mount Airy for the period September 5-19.

Chestnut Hill

September 5 Theft from the car. One complainant reported seeing her car being broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Trail parking lot on Valley Green Road. Wallet and credit cards stolen.

September 7 theft. The complainant stated that her car was robbed at gunpoint in the car park of Building 7600 on Crittenden Street by two men. The men escaped in the car, having a minor traffic accident at 100 blocks of Lauriston Street in Manayunk. The car operator fled on foot, but was eventually captured after a short chase.

September 7 Theft from the car. One complainant reported seeing their car being broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Trail parking lot on Valley Green Road. Your vape device has been stolen.

September 12 property destruction. One of the complainants reported that their car had been broken into. The papers were thrown inside and the windshield was shattered, but nothing was stolen.

September 13 Theft from the car. A complainant reported that his car was broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Trail parking lot on Valley Green Road. The money was stolen.

September 14 Theft from the car. A complainant reported that his car was broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Trail parking lot on Valley Green Road. Money and wallet were stolen.

September 14 Theft from the car. A complainant reported that his car was broken into while it was parked near the Wissahickon Trail parking lot on Northwestern Avenue. Bag was stolen.

September 14 Theft from the car. A complainant reported that his car was broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Trail parking lot on Valley Green Road. Credit cards and wallet stolen.

September 14 Theft from the car. A complainant reported that his car was broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Trail parking lot on Valley Green Road. Credit cards have been stolen.

September 14 Theft from the car. The complainant reported the theft of credit cards and an iPhone from her car, which was parked at Building 8100 on Roanoke Street. Car window shattered.

September 16 burglary. An employee at Baker Street Bread, located at 8000 block of Germantown Street, reported that someone entered the store and stole money from the register.

September 17 Stealing. One complainant reported that several offenders entered the Fresh Market at 8200 block of Germantown Street and took several items, including orange juice, without paying.

Mount Airy

September 5 theft. The complainant, a tractor driver who delivers cigarettes to Wawa at the 7200 block of Germantown Street, reported that four men stole eight boxes of cigarettes from his truck worth approximately $3,500.

September 5 Motor vehicle theft. Her complaining car was stolen while loading groceries from Acme at 7700 Crittenden Street. I left the car running with the keys inside.

September 6 Auto parts theft. The complainant noted parts of the bumper plate are missing. The car, which was parked in block 200 of West Upsal Street, has not had any known accidents in recent times.

September 7 Auto parts theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked at 6700 Musgrave Street.

September 7 Auto parts theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked on 200th Street in Montana Avenue.

September 7 burglary. The complainant returned to his home in the 6700 block of Musgrave Street to discover that his home had been searched. Money, birth certificate, bags and jewelry were stolen.

September 7 Auto parts theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked in the 6900 block of Ardleigh Street.

September 8 theft. The complainant had her kitten stolen from Building 200 on East Johnson Street.

September 8 Theft from the car. One complainant reported that an iPad had been stolen from his car, which was parked at Building 600 on West Hortter Street. Car window shattered.

September 8 theft. One complainant reported having his bike stolen from his balcony in the unit building on West Weaver Street.

September 8 Auto parts theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked on 500th Street of Arbutus Avenue.

September 8 Auto parts theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked at 200 on Dorard Street.

September 9 Aggravated assault. The complainant was shot in the back while walking with his dog. The victim was taken by a paramedic to Albert Einstein Medical Center where his condition is currently stable.

September 9 car stealing. One complainant reported that their car had disappeared from a parking lot at 7100 Devon Street.

September 9 car stealing. One complainant reported that their car had disappeared from the car park of Building 200 on West Uppsal Street.

September 10 car stealing. The complainant stated that she saw her car being towed away from a car park where she parked her car at Building 6300 on Crittenden Street.

September 11 Auto parts theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked at 500 Brenton Street.

September 11 Theft from the car. A couple returns to their car to find the hatch is open and $10 in change is missing.

September 12 Theft from the car. The complainant reported the theft of tools from his car, which was parked at Block 200 on West Johnson Street. Car window shattered.

September 13 Auto parts theft. The complainant reported the theft of the catalytic converter from their vehicle on the unit block in Gowen Circle.

September 13 theft. One complainant reported the theft of two bicycles from their yard located in Building 600 on West Johnson Street.

September 13 theft. An Amazon delivery driver stole his wallet at gunpoint in block 300 of East Sharpnack Street. The wallet contained $700.

September 13 Auto parts theft. A catalytic converter was stolen from a car parked on 1000th Street of West Upsal Street.

September 13 car stealing. One complainant reported that their car had disappeared from where they had parked it, on block 300 of East Upsal Street.

September 13 burglary. A complainant returned to his house in block 200 of East Upsal Street to find clothes lying around his apartment and $170 taken.

September 13 theft. The complainant reported two bikes stolen from his property in Building 600 on West Johnson Street.

September 14 Theft from the car. The complainant reported the theft of a wallet from his vehicle which was parked at Building 6500 of Park Line Drive. Car window shattered.

September 15 Stealing. One complainant reported that several offenders entered a food store in the 6700 block of Sprague Street and took potato chips and soft drinks without paying.

September 16 burglary. The complainant returned to his house to find that his door was open and that someone had searched his house. Xbox shoes and boots stolen.

September 16 Theft from the car. One complainant reported that his car had been broken into while parked near the Wissahickon Trail parking lot on Kitchens Lane. Laptop and wallet were stolen.

September 17 Theft from the car. The complainant reported the theft of a wallet containing credit cards from her car, which was parked at the entrance to the Wissahickon Trail next to Park Line Drive and West Hortter Street. Car window shattered.

September 18 Stealing. One of the complainants reported that a criminal entered Acme in the 7000 block of Germantown Street and drank beer without paying.

September 18 theft. One complainant stated that she went to another residence under a court order to retrieve her belongings, but that several belongings, including $2,000 worth of clothes, a wardrobe and an iPhone were lost.

September 18 Auto parts theft. A license plate was stolen from a car parked at Building 7000 in Marion Lane.

September 18 burglary. One of the complainants reportedly witnessed a man entering a property in Building 6600 of Germantown Street for at least one minute. Then he heard the male scream that the police were coming and witnessed his escape. Nothing is taken.

September 18 burglary. An employee at the Mallelani Café, located in the 6700 block of Germantown Street, reported that someone entered the store by breaking the glass door and stealing $150 from the register.

September 18 burglary. The complainant returned to his house in block 200 of East Upsal Street to find $100 worth of clothes stolen from her daughter’s room in her apartment.

September 19 theft. A complainant reported that the offender woke him up while he was sleeping in his car, which was parked in the unit building on West Sedgwick Street, while pointing a gun at him. A conflict ensued between the two parties and the complainant was stabbed in the leg as a result. The complainant drove himself to Chestnut Hill Hospital and is in a stable condition.
