Rosemont, Illinois – The Big Ten Conference released the start times and TV assignments for the 2022-23 women’s basketball schedule on Wednesday, when all 126 conference games nationwide will be produced and distributed for the ninth consecutive season. The conference also revealed the times and network nomenclature for select non-conference games hosted by Big Ten schools as part of Wednesday’s announcement, with at least 76 Big Ten women’s basketball games scheduled to be broadcast nationwide by three of the television partners of the Conference (BTN, FOX and ESPN).

The Big Ten, which sent six teams to the NCAA Championship last year including four records in the NCAA Sweet 16 for the second consecutive season, features an 18-game women’s basketball conference schedule, with each school facing five opponents twice in the home and away series, While playing the other eight schools once (four at home, four on the road). Conference play begins on December 3 and ends in earnest on December 28, culminating with the 30th Women’s Basketball Tournament taking place March 1-5, 2023, in Minneapolis at the Target Center, home of the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx and NBA teams. The cornerstone of Big Ten women’s basketball coverage this season will once again be the Big Ten Network, which will broadcast at least 62 women’s basketball games at the conference in 2022-23. Among the other top 10 games on ESPN, Sunday’s December 11th game on ABC will be when Maryland hosts UConn Permanent Energy. This will be the first women’s basketball game of the regular season of the Big Ten to be broadcast on ABC.

Five Big Ten women’s basketball games will be broadcast on FOX or FS1 this season, the first time a conference package has included games on the FOX broadcast network, and Big Ten games will be broadcast for the third consecutive year on FS1.

The first two Big Ten FOX games will be broadcast on Saturday, January 7, when the Big Ten co-champion defender visits Iowa Michigan, which advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time last season, at 4:30 p.m. (ET) at Crisler Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The first Big Ten FS1 games are scheduled to begin on Sunday, February 5, when Indiana, which has reached the Elite Eight and Sweet 16 in the past two seasons, heads to Purdue for the 2 p.m. (ET) competition.

BTN will once again broadcast the first 12 games of the 2023 Women’s Big Ten Basketball Tournament, covering the first round through to the semi-finals from March 1-4, with the championship game broadcast on ESPN on March 5.

All BTN, FOX and FS1 games will also be broadcast live across the country across the web, smartphones, tablets and connected devices on the FOX Sports app. More than 140 additional games will also be streamed on B1G+, with a full schedule available online at bigtenplus.com. Those games that are broadcast on ESPN networks will also be available via the ESPN app on smartphones, tablets, connected streaming devices or espn.com/watch.
