After a successful run with JD Motorsports driver Bayley Currey last week at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, retailer Hy-Vee has signed on to sponsor his team for six more races as the NASCAR Xfinity Series season concludes.

Hy-Vee’s sponsorship of the New Holland 250 will continue on Saturday at Michigan International Speedway, one of the fastest tracks on the NASCAR circuit.

The Hy-Vee name has become prominent in motorsport circles. In July, Hy-Vee made a big splash at INDYCAR racing when it hosted the Hy-VeeDeals.com 250 and Hy-Vee Salute to Farmers 300 races at Iowa Speedway in Newton, Iowa, with record attendance at the track. Hy-Vee’s sponsorship and dedicated participation in that weekend made it one of the most talked about events in INDYCAR racing. The weekend featured Hy-Vee shows and events, including concerts sponsored by Hy-Vee that featured performances by Tim McGraw, Florida Georgia Line, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton.

JD Motorsports Vice President of Sales and Marketing Tony N. said, “It’s great to see all of the positive momentum Hy-Vee has created in racing, moving on to Bayley, JD Motorsports and NASCAR’s Xfinity Series.”

Currey ran a powerful Hy-Vee No. 4 Chevrolet on the IMS road track at the Pennzoil 150 Xfinity last Saturday. He finished seventh in the second stage of the race and came home 21st on the first lap.

Now, Currey’s Hy-Vee sponsorship will continue with races in Michigan, Watkins Glen (August 20), Darlington (September 3), Kansas (September 10), Texas (September 24) and Phoenix (November 5).

“Having a great sponsor like Hy-Vee that shows a commitment to me for six more races means a lot to me,” said Corey. “I can’t tell you how rewarding it is to have a company with so many employees who choose me to wear their logo with pride. I appreciate Randy making this happen to me and the entire team at Hy-Vee.”

Team #4 is hoping the momentum will move from Indianapolis to the Michigan race on Saturday.

Co-sponsors Wahlburgers, Redbox Rx and Vivid Clear Rx, which are Hy-Vee affiliates, will be in Car #4 this weekend in Michigan.
